The NOC Enid Jets dropped Game 2 of a four game set Friday night to DMACC 12-10.
Gage Ninness and Ambren Voitik both had big days for the Jets, Ninness had four hits including a home run and three runs batted in. Voitik homered, doubled, had three runs batted in.
Tanner Holliman added two hits for the Jets.
"It's never easy coming out on the losing end of any game but in a back and forth game like tonight where your team fought hard, responded to adversity, showed tenacity and some maturity, there are bright spots," said coach Scott Mansfield. "Just need to pick ourselves back up, pitch it a little better, have some better at bats at certain times and keep competing because we have an opportunity to win two games and win a series tomorrow."
NOC was down 5-2 early, battled back to take a 6-5 lead in the seventh, then lost the lead in the eighth. The Jets then trailed 11-6 before battling back with four runs in the final two innings to cut the DMACC lead to 12-10.
Jackson Olivi suffered the loss out of the Jets' bullpen. Piercen Mcelyea was the starter for NOC.
NOC (2-3) hosts DMACC on a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
