The NOC Enid Jets took a pair from Northeast Nebraska Sunday at David Alllen Memorial Ballpark 4-2 and 6-5.
NOC (8-4) won three of four over the weekend including a three game sweep of Northeast Nebraska.
"We had an opportunity to come out and win game one, win the series and then go for the sweep in game two," said coach Scott Mansfield. "I know the team really wanted the sweep and you could just tell that from how they approached today. The tone was set by the guys on the mound, all four guys toed the rubber and competed at a high level. The hitters and defense followed suit. Fourteen complete innings allowed this team to get a well deserved sweep against a really good opponent."
In Game 1, Jaron DeBerry tossed 6.1 innings allowing one earned run striking out six picking up the win. Jackson Olivi pitched the final .2 inning earning the save fanning both hitters he faced.
Ambren Voitik had two hits for the Jets while Calyn Halvorson, Cale Savage, and Blake Scott doubled for NOC Enid. The Jets outhit Northeast Nebraska 8-7.
In Game 2, Halvorson had two hits including a double, two runs scored, and two runs batted in.
Tanner Holliman had two runs batted in and Voitik had two runs scored.
Thomas Kuykendall was the winning pitcher allowing five earned runs in 6.1 innings. Dylon Mallett earned the save allowing no runs in .2 innings.
The Jets built a 6-2 lead and then held on for the 6-5 win.
NOC Enid hosts Butler (KS) at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
