NOC Enid dropped a pair of conference games to Carl Albert 7-6 and 20-9 Wednesday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
The 13th ranked Jets (17-9) fell to 3-3 in conference play. Carl Albert (12-17) improved to 4-2 in conference.
"We came out flat today, tried to flip the switch in game one, was too late and then in game two, more of the same with being flat and not fully locked in and we paid the price for it," said coach Scott Mansfield. "Back to work for two days before heading to their place and working for a split."
In Game 1, the Jets rallied late on a grand slam by Josh Hendricks in the seventh but it wasn't enough in a 7-6 loss to Carl Albert.
The Jets trailed 7-2 before the NOC loaded the bases on a walk to Jordan Coffey, a Cale Savage single, and a Gage Ninness walk. All three scored on the blast by Hendricks cutting the lead to 7-6. Connor Thaxton then singled but the rally ended with the tying run at first.
Savage and Ninness each had two hits for the Jets.
Thomas Kuykendall was the starter with relief help from Cameron Marchant who pitched the final two innings.
In Game 2, the Vikings broke open a 10-9 game in the sixth inning scoring 10 runs in the final two innings 20-9.
Ambren Voitik homered and drove home three runs, scoring three runs as well.
Marc Turner added three hits while Calyn Halvorson tripled and doubled.
Dylon Mallett was the starter with bullpen help from Murphy Gienger, Jackson Olivi, and Garrett Stone.
The Jets are at Carl Albert Saturday for a return date with the Vikings.
