Jets sweep National Park Saturday

Starting pitching was the key Saturday as the #23 Jets routed National Park Saturday in OCAC conference play as Piercen Mcelyea and Jaron DeBerry provided quality starts.

The Jets (21-11) won 12-2 and 11-0 and improved to 6-4 in conference play.

In Game 1, Piercen Mcelyea allowed one earned run in five innings striking out seven.

Cale Savage and Tanner Holliman had two hits and three runs batted in each.  Savage homered while Holliman added two doubles.

Josh Hendricks added two hits for the Jets.

NOC Enid scored in five of six innings.

In Game 2, Jaron Deberry pitched a three hit shut out striking out eight and walking four in a 100 pitch complete game.

Tanner Holliman hit a grand slam while Calyn Halvorson and Blake Scott had two hits each.  Halvorson had three runs batted including a home run.  Scott had a triple and double for NOC Enid.
