Savage homers twice to lead Jets to split with National Park

The NOC Enid Jets split a pair of conference games Sunday against National Park (AR) at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.

The Jets won Game 1 10-5 and dropped the nightcap 17-10.

The Jets (22-12) improved to 7-5 in conference play while National Park (15-18) fell to 4-8 in the OCAC.

In Game 1, the Jets jumped out to a 9-1 early lead and coasted to a 10-5 win.

Cale Savage homered twice and had three runs batted in to lead the Jets' offense.

Wyatt Sellers started for the Jets going three innings, Nathan Crum and Trent Ritter worked out of the Jets' bullpen.

In Game 2, National Park broke open a 10-10 tie with seven runs in the ninth to win 17-10.

Calyn Halvorson hit a grand slam while Ambren Voitik, Tanner Holliman, and Josh Hendricks also homered.

Halvorson had five runs batted in while Connor Thaxton tripled and singled for NOC Enid.

Thomas Kuykendall was the starter for the Jets with bullpen help from Murphy Gienger, Cameron Marchant, Trent Ritter, and Jackson Olivi.

The Jets are at NWOSU JV on Monday at 1 p.m.
