Jets earn road split at NOC Tonkawa, win series

TONKAWA, Oklahoma --  The NOC Enid Jets split a twinbill at NOC Tonkawa Sunday winning the first game 15-8 and dropping the nightcap 10-2.

The Jets (27-21) took three of four in the conference series.

NOC Enid is now 11-13 in conference while the Mavs (28-22) fell to 8-16 in league.

In Game 1, the Jets set the tone early using an 11 run second inning to build a 12-0 lead and cruised to the 15-8 win.

Ambren Voitik had a triple and home run to lead a 12 hit attack.

Calyn Halvorson, Cale Savage, and Brandon Lees added two hits each.

Blake Scott and Kyle Bass had two runs batted in each.

Wyatt Sellers started for the Jets with Cameron Marchant and Trent Ritter pitching out of the pen.

In Game 2, the Mavs broke open a 2-2 tie with eight late runs to win 10-2.

Voitik continued his big day at the plate with two more hits.

Jordan Coffey drove home the Jets' two runs on the day.

Thomas Kuykendall was the starter with Jackson Olivi, Nathan Crum, Dylon Mallett, and Alex Smith pitching in relief.

The Jets host Redlands on Thursday in the final home regular season series of the season.
