Jets split with Redlands in regular season finale

EL RENO, Oklahoma -- The NOC Enid Jets split with Redlands on Saturday finishing their regular season conference slate.

The Jets won Game 1 18-7 and lost the second game 22-8.

The Jets (30-22) finished the conference schedule 14-14 while Redlands (14-38) finished the year at 7-21 in conference.

In Game 1, the Jets had hits from every position player in the order, Cale Savage had four hits and two runs batted in. 

Calyn Halvorson had three hits including his 17th home run of the season.  The freshman from Edmond leads the conference with 17 home runs and 66 runs batted in.

Ambren Voitik, Jordan Coffey, and Kyle Bass had two hits each, Bass and Tanner Holliman homered for the Jets.

Trent Ritter earned the win in relief of Thomas Kuykendall.  Ritter allowed one run over three innings while striking out seven.

In Game 2, Redlands scored 12 runs in the third and won 22-8.

Voitik homered in Game 2, his 16th of the year.

Dylon Mallett was the starter with bullpen help from Nathan Crum, Jackson Olivi, Alex Smith, and Brandon Eropkin.

The Jets are in action Sunday, May 16 in the Region 2 Tournament in Enid.
