Jets outlast Carl Albert 9-7 in 14 innings

Ambren Voitik's two out double in the 14th inning drove home the go-ahead runs in a 9-7 NOC Enid over Carl Albert in the first round of the Region 2 Tournament at David Allen Memorial Ballpark on Sunday.

The Jets (31-22) face the National Park-Murray State winner Monday at 4 p.m.

Voitik's double scored Gage Ninness and Brandon Lees who both singled to set up Voitik's game winner.

NOC Enid led 7-2 before the Vikings rallied with five runs in the eighth to tie the game at 7-7.

Voitik and Calyn Halvorson had three hits each while Blake Scott, Ninness, and Lees had two hits each.

Jaron DeBerry allowed four earned runs in seven innings while Murphy Gienger was the winner in relief allowing two runs over seven innings.

Enid led 1-0 until the third when the Jets scored four runs to take a 5-0 lead.
