Jets run rule National Park, advance in winners bracket

Piercen Mcelyea tossed a three hitter over seven innings as the Jets made short work of National Park (AR) Monday night winning 8-0.

The Jets (32-22) face Rich Mountain Tuesday at 4 p.m.  Rich Mountain beat top seed Western 7-2 Monday night.

Mcelyea struck out nine and walked three in a 110 pitch effort.

The Jets backed the right hander with an 11 hit attack led by Jordan Coffey, Gage Ninness, and Kyle Bass with two hits each.

Bass and Cale Savage had two runs batted in each.

The Jets held a slim 1-0 lead until the fourth when NOC sent 11 men to the plate scoring seven runs.

NOC had six hits in the inning plus a walk and hit-by-pitch.
