MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- Lawson Maddox earned his second save of the day and Jhett Creel banged out two doubles as the NOC Enid Jets held off Rose State 8-7, sweeping the Friday doubleheader.
The Jets scored eight runs over the first four innings and were cruising 8-1 but Rose rallied with one in the sixth and five in the seventh.
Lawson walked one but earned the save on a pop out to win the game.
Daniel Schlehuber earned the win working five innings of one run baseball.
Jesse Ponce and Brody Rutledge each had two hits, Nolan Smith had two runs batted in as NOC built the early 8-1 lead.
The Jets (15-3) host Rose State Sunday in two games at David Allen.
