Jets split home opening doubleheader

NOC Enid split a pair against Northeast (NE) in the 2026 home opener on Saturday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark winning the first game 6-5 and losing the nightcap 7-4.

Game 1

Jake Ervin had three hits including two doubles and three runs batted in for NOC Enid in a 6-5 win.

Bryan Williams and Lucas Dunn had two hits each for the Jets.

NOC built a 5-2 early lead and held on for the 6-5 win.  

Jack Jones (1-0) earned the win allowing four runs in four innings striking out seven.  Jackson Papenfus earned his second save of the year working a perfect 7th.

Game 2

The Jets fell 7-4 in Game 2 of the twinbill as Northeast built a 7-1 lead.  The Jets rallied for three runs in the 7th making the final 7-4.

Will Wakeland had the lone rbi for the Jets.  Preston Giles had the lone Jet extra base hit, a double.

Bennett Percival started for the Jets will bullpen help from Jonathan Silva and Wade Wyatt Wilkinson.

What's Next:  The Jets host Northeast in a doubleheader starting at noon on Sunday, Feb. 8.
