The NOC Enid Jets hit five home runs in a 12-1, 7 inning run rule over Murray State on Sunday to win the NJCAA Region 2 Division 2 Baseball Championship in Enid.
The Jets (42-21) hit five home runs in the seven inning run rule and now advance to the the NJCAA West District Tournament May 14-16 against the Region 1 winner, South Mountain (AZ) Community College.
The winner of that best of three series advances to the NJCAA Division 2 World Series in Enid May 23-30.
"Proud of our guys in so many ways," said Jets coach Ryan Bay. "They came together and played their best baseball when it mattered. The job isn't finished, we have a big series this week."
NOC Enid left little doubt on Sunday scoring in six of the seven innings in outhhitting the Aggies 15-2.
Connor Cavnar, Cade Christensen, Jacob Ervin, Noah Smith, and Tanner Fallwell all homered for the Jets.
Cavnar continued his hot hitting with another three hits on Sunday after four on Saturday. Boddie, Christensen, Ervin, and Fallwell all had two hits each. Cavnar and Ervin had three runs batted in each.
On the mound, Jonathan Silva (10-4) started for the Jets working 3.1 innings allowing one run on two hits. Jackson Papenfus worked a hitless 3.2 innings for the Jets to earn the save, his third of the year.
