SHAWNEE, Okla. -- NOC Enid split two games in Shawnee Friday at the Firelake Classic.
In Game 1, the Jets beat Crowder 8-4 behind sophomore KK Harjo (2-1). Harjo struck out 12 Crowder hitters allowing four runs on eight hits.
She had plenty of offensive support from Ryan Gamble and Brylee Brungardt-Davis who each had two hits including home runs for the Jets. Gamble had three runs batted in for NOC Enid.
The Jets (9-6) built an early 7-0 lead and held on for the 8-4 win.
In Game 2, the Jets lost to St. Charles (MO) 6-4.
Cassidi Cook had three hits including two doubles while Brungardt-Davis had three hits including a double and two runs batted in.
Hayden Haulcomb drove in two for NOC Enid.
The Jets led 3-2 before St. Charles scored four runs in the 5th.
Lillyan Ball (0-3) started for the Jets with relief help from Adriana Wiedeman.
