TONKAWA, Oklahoma --  The NOC Lady Jets used a strong second half to win at rival NOC Tonkawa Saturday afternoon 589-54.

NOC Enid (3-3) improved to 2-3 in league play while the Lady Mavs (2-6) dropped to 2-2 in league action.

The Lady Jets were led by Lauren Wade with 26 points while Madelyn Hankins added 18.

"Saturday wasn't a pretty ball game, but the girls found a way to win," said coach Kelli Jennings.  "It was a true team effort. Each game, win or lose, there have been multiple learning opportunities and Saturday was no different. We try to take the good and the bad and grow from it all."  

The Lady Jets trailed NOC Tonkawa 31-25 at half but the Lady Jets rallied in the third quarter to take a 44-42 lead.

The game was tied at 49-49 when the Lady Jets went on an 8-2 run to take a 57-51 lead with :45 remaining.

NOC hosts Western Monday night at 5:30 p.m.
