JaNai Coleman scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in an 70-62 loss to Murray State Thursday night at NOC Enid.
The Lady Jets (11-2) fell to 0-2 in conference while Murray State (11-5) improved to 2-0 in conference.
Laeticia Hardy also reached double figures with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Lyndee Mikesell added 11.
Atiana Cook also grabbed 10 boards for the Lady Jets.
Murray State built a number of double figure leads but the Lady Jets stayed close. Murray led 37-22 and then NOC went on a run cutting the lead to 41-30 at half.
Then in the second half, NOC cut a 63-49 deficit down to 63-56 with 7:00 left before Murray went on a run of their own buidling the lead to 70-56. NOC then scored the final six points of Thursday's game.
The Lady Jets shot 34% from the floor and 22% from 3-point range while Murray State scot 32% from the field and 20% from 3-Point range. Both teams shot well from the line, the Lady Jets were 23 of 29 while Murray was 20 of 27.
The Lady Jets host #22 NEO (8-2, 2-0 in conference) Monday night at 5:30 p.m. at the Mabee Center.
