Title: Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

A New York City native, Jermaine “Coach Maine” Maybank brings a wealth of experience, passion, and leadership to his role as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Northern Oklahoma College (NOC).

Coach Maine began his playing career at Independence Community College before transferring to St. John’s University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. From 2004–06, he competed under Coach Norm Roberts at SJU before transferring to Kansas State University to play for legendary coach Bob Huggins during the 2006–07 season. Following college, he went on to play 10 professional seasons in Melbourne, Australia.

During his 13 years in Melbourne, Coach Maine established himself as both a player and a coach with the Broadmeadows Basketball Association. His accomplishments include being named to the Big V All-Star 5, National All-Star recognition, six-time Team MVP, All-Star Game MVP, and selection to the Big V All-Decade Team (2010–2020).

From 2016–2018, he continued his dual career at the McKinnon Cougars Basketball Association, where he served as head coach for the U18 Youth League boys, earning Coach of the Year honors in 2017. Transitioning into a full-time head coaching role, he led McKinnon to its first-ever Big V Championship Men’s title with a 24-2 record—setting multiple program records—and was named Big V Championship Men’s Head Coach of the Year.

In 2024–25, Coach Maine began his collegiate coaching career as an Assistant Coach at Labette Community College before joining the Jets family at NOC. He is excited to support Head Coach Chris Gerber’s vision for the program and looks forward to making a meaningful impact on the student-athletes both on and off the court.

Beyond basketball, Coach Maine is most proud of being a husband to his wife, Elise Maybank, and a father of his Son, Arian Maybank, whose love and support continue to inspire his journey every day.
